aloe was born to a family that was nuts about plants - her mom was an herbalist, her dad a gardener, her older sister the owner of a flower shop

one could say aloe has interest in plants herself - she knows a lot about herbs and potions involving them

but her TRUE passion is healing the ailments of others, and this is what she's dedicated her life to - magic and medicine that can help others

curing colds and the odd poison joke infection was good, but aloe didn't stop there; she learned magic that could detect things beneath the skin, like broken bones, torn ligaments, holes where they shouldn't be - and she further uses her magic to mend these things

aloe earns money by selling her potions and remedies, but offers her services for free, often to weary travelers exiting the forest she lives on the edge of 

all she wants is for everypony to be safe, happy, and healthy.
