Commission: Rarity And Spike

commissioned me for rarity and spike being cute friends, so i decided to draw the awkward gecko child giving rarity one of his gems. he probably does it pretty regularly, just gives her the shiniest ones out of his hoard. even when he's ten stories tall and lives in a cave next to canterlot. 

sidenote, this is my first time drawing rarity and let me just say her tail and mane are a NIGHTMARE (no pun intended). i was going back and forth between my canvas and various reference images for hours. i'd have tried to do in in my style, but i don't have a style for that kind of hair. the only curls i do are jewfros.
